Sarah Root

Sarah's time at the preschool began when her son entered the 3's class in 2009. Her daughters joined the 2's class the following year. She loved the philosophy and community of the co-op, and after her son left for kindergarten, she decided to put her Early Childhood Education degree to use, accepting a role as lead teacher in the 3's classroom. Throughout the next 10 years she worked on and off as a teacher in the 3's program, an assistant to Doug in the 2's, and as a substitute teacher in all of the classrooms and in lunch bunch. This last school year Sarah stepped in as a temporary first grade teacher at Desert View Learning Center. She is excited to be returning to the EEC which feels like home.

Sarah loves to travel with her family, to bake, hike, and spend time with friends. She is an avid reader and lifelong learner, and aspires to be an anthropologist when she grows up.
